Painter & Decorators' Association
The Painter & Decorators’ Association (PDA) can trace its foundations back to 1853 when local painters in West Yorkshire banded gathered together and committed themselves to uphold certain standards.
At the end of the century the loose group of professional painters formed the PDA on the other side of the Pennines in Manchester.
In the century since, the PDA has members all across the UK and includes individual tradespeople all the way up to national contractors. Membership of the PDA indicates a professional painter or decorator’s commitment to certain standards of work outlined in the PDA’s Code of Conduct.
