Local Heroes Trade Association: NAPIT

Originally known as the National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers, NAPIT was formed in 1992 to provide accreditation and vetting for contractors and professionals in the building services and fabrications sectors.

Today, NAPIT is one of the leading Government approved and United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accredited membership scheme operators in the building services and fabrications sectors.

NAPIT currently has more than 10,000 NAPIT registered installers in the electrical, heating, plumbing, ventilation, microgeneration and building fabric trades across the UK domestic, commercial and industrial markets.

NAPIT maintain a friendly, common-sense approach to competence with a continued focus on raising standards and safety within the building services sector. And though they have grown significantly since the organisation was founded, the Trade Association values remain at the heart of what they do, which makes NAPIT a trade association we’re happy to work alongside.
