A toilet that’s taking a long time to fill can be a frustrating experience on the best of days. The most common reason is a build up of debris, especially if the flushing system is older than seven years. If limescale and other debris accumulate in and around the system, including the supply line and shut-off valve, it’ll block the flow of water coming in.
To fix this problem quickly and professionally, we recommend calling a qualified plumber to help. Your plumber will first remove the top cap and use a special technique to flush out the debris from the fill valve. If this doesn’t solve the problem, they’ll inspect the inner workings of your toilet and repair or replace broken or worn parts.
