Update your Stripe payment account!

To stay up to date with the Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations your Local Heroes Stripe payment account needs to be updated.

Stripe will occasionally ask you to update your details, or verify information. When this happens we will notify you in Toolbox, where you will be able to access your Stripe account to take the action required. It’s important that you provide any updates as quickly as you can, if your Stripe account is not updated and verified, payments can’t be made from your account.

Ensure you get paid on time

An update is currently required to your Local Heroes Stripe payment account, you’ll find everything you need to know in Toolbox.

Once in Toolbox, simply click on the Stripe panel, you’ll automatically be connected to your Local Heroes Stripe payment account where you’ll find all the information you’ll need to make the update. Make sure you have permission before submitting anyone else’s details.

What happens if my account is not updated?

Payouts to your bank account can’t be made until your information has been updated and verified. So, if your customer paid you for a job, the money would be held in your Local Heroes Stripe payment account. It would only be released on the next available payment run, following the update and successful verification of your account. We are unable to pay you by another means.

Why am I being asked to provide this information?

Updating information about your business is required to help protect against fraud and stay current with KYC regulations. Changes to regulations mean that occasionally Stripe will ask you to provide more information, we will notify you as soon as we know of any requirements in Toolbox.

My bank details/home address has changed, how do I notify Stripe of this change?

Toolbox will only allow you to provide the information that Stripe is specifically requesting. However, we’re here to help, email us at finance@localheroes.com if you need to update anything within your Stripe account.

We’re a limited company. Do I have to be a beneficial owner to fill out this information?

No. You can complete the update to Stripe if you have the permission of the account holder and the owners whose information you may be submitting.
