From hot showers to baths and running taps – bathrooms are usually the most humid rooms in your house. Without ventilation, steam and moisture will condensate on cold surfaces and leave the room damp. And over time, mould, mildew and rot will grow on tiles, window frames and plaster. So if your extractor fan is not working as it should, it’s best to replace it before damp sets in.
Your extractor fan works with electricity, so to protect you, your family and home, we recommend asking a Part P qualified electrician for help. Your electrician will first look at the installation area to make sure it’s suitable for your new fan. They’ll then switch off the energy supply, fit the extractor fan and secure the wiring. When everything is done, they’ll turn your power back on, test the fan and clean their work area before they head off.
We work around the clock to make sure you’re getting the best service from your electrician. After every job, we ask our customers for open and honest feedback and we guarantee the work for 12 months. So you know you’re in safe hands.
This guarantee is backed by British Gas and covers the labour and all parts. If something goes wrong in the first 12 months, simply call your Local Hero and explain the issue. We always give them the opportunity to put things right first. But if you’d like to speak to a member of our team, just give us a call.
