In light of the ongoing Covid-19 situation, at Local Heroes we made the proactive decision to only allow essential jobs to be booked on our platform. This change was to comply with Government advice, and has been in place for over six weeks.

Because of this, we’ve been able to support our most vulnerable customers during times of need. We’ve received reviews from lots of grateful customers throughout this period who want to thank Heroes for their dedication to complete essential work.

Following the recent changes to Government advice, we have decided to lift some of the restrictions on our website, resuming our regular service and allowing all jobs to be booked on our website.

With this in mind, we want to keep customers and Heroes safe; we are still asking all parties to follow the social distancing measures and all other recommendations in the Government’s guidelines. We recommend that customers and Heroes have conversations surrounding vulnerability and Covid-19 prior to jobs being completed. There will still be an option when booking a job for customers to mark themselves as vulnerable or to let Heroes know that they are self isolating.
