What are the Local Heroes team thankful for?
The Heroes have been working through the year to keep customers’ homes maintained, safe and cosy. We also have the teams behind-the-scenes that keep Local Heroes running. We spoke to members of our team who have been working remotely.
It’s been an unusual year and these are unprecedented times, but our co-workers are thankful for the positives that have come with it - from more time with the family to quirky hobbies:
I'm thankful as due to everyone working from home, was able to work remotely from my family's motorhome - which was a great experience!
- Alistair, Data
I’m grateful for the people that I work with, and that everyday we have a laugh
- Anna, Product
I’m happy to have had the chance to learn how to make regional breads and dedicate more time to my illustrations
- Desola, Marketing
I am thankful for getting to work with a team who bring a lot of fun into what we do every day (and make stuff happen, fast!)
- Mills, Director
It has been a great privilege to be able to work from home during the pandemic. However much I miss my colleagues, it has allowed me a better work life balance and no commuting!
- Richard, Product
I am thankful for spending more time with my family. I especially enjoy my morning cycle to drop my son off at his childminders, he always entertains me!
- Tim, Development
I am thankful for being home more whilst my youngest daughter is so young, not often as a dad do you get to spend a whole year seeing them grow.
- TJ, Product
In such a difficult year, it's important to remember it has been a turbulent time for everyone. Whether you've found the time to learn something new or simply just spent more time with loved ones, we at Local Heroes wish you all the best for the holiday season.
