Local Heroes celebrates 50,000 jobs!
Local Heroes is proud to announce we’ve completed 50,000 jobs, an impressive achievement considering we only launched nationally 12 months ago.
Dave, a Local Heroes plumber from Hemel Hempstead, completed the 50,000th job when he helped our customer Graham move a washing machine and a dishwasher, as he’s renovating his family home.

Graham thought Dave did a great job, and gave both Dave and Local Heroes a top review. Dave joined Local Heroes in May 2017, and has completed over 100 jobs for happy customers ever since.
Mat Moakes, Head of Local Heroes, says this milestone is a phenomenal achievement, and that there’s much more to come.
"It's been an amazing experience so far but we still have lots to do to create an even better experience for our customers and Heroes, right now we have our new Hero App in final testing, we recently partnered with Splitit to help our customers pay in a way which suits them and that's just recently, we have much more in the pipeline."

We love to hear from our happy customers, and we are very proud of our network of excellent Local Heroes, like Dave. Our UK-wide network of 8,000 local tradespeople now includes tilers, plasterers, decorators, locksmiths, handypeople and appliance engineers as well as plumbers, heating engineers, electricians and drainage engineers, so we can help with even more jobs in customers’ homes.

The first ever Local Heroes job was completed by Craig from Croydon, a plumber who became our first Local Hero in February 2016. We’ve not stopped since, expanding to cover the whole of Great Britain and now offering customers 11 different trades.
