Local Heroes has always been about making connections; we help customers find trusted, local tradespeople, tradespeople customers can always have confidence in that we have verified, are insured, qualified and well-reviewed.

It’s because of this commitment that in the few short years since we launched we’ve connected over 150,000 customers and tradespeople. Our relentless focus on the customer has been well received and we’ve received great feedback for our efforts, including:

A focus on the customer

The core technology of our platform allows a customer to create a job which is sent out to all available Local Heroes tradespeople in their area. This is customer-focused technology. We make no excuses for our focus on the customer; removing the stress of finding a reliable tradesperson has always been our overarching goal and we’re confident our service provides trust and reassurance.

However, we want to further grow our offering to provide a similarly great service to the tradespeople on our platform - the Local Heroes.

The way tradespeople use the Local Heroes platform varies greatly depending on which services they offer, where their business is or how many people work in their businesses. A sole trader might just use Local Heroes to supplement their diary, while a nationwide business can use Local Heroes as a reliable source of work.

Growing your business with Local Heroes

We want to ensure any business of any size can use our platform to grow their business. To do this, we have expanded our platform to allow customers to book tradespeople directly.

Our original service will continue as before, but we will now allow for much greater contact between customer and tradesperson, whether that’s rebooking a previous tradesperson who provided great service, or a tradesperson wanting to offer 12 month, British Gas-backed guarantees to their existing customers.

Raising your profile

While the majority of the changes to our platform are the nuts and bolts of the technology, we have also radically redesigned each company’s profile page on our platform, allowing each business to showcase their team, their reviews and their history.
