Local Heroes hits milestone of 6,000 tradespeople
At Local Heroes, we're celebrating a big milestone this week - we now have 6,000 trusted local tradespeople in our network.
Mat Moakes, head of Local Heroes, says he is delighted with this and that the nationwide network isn’t the only growing workforce:
"When we launched Local Heroes in January 2016, we had just two tradespeople working with us - now we have 6,000! At the same time, we've also gone from having having a team of just six employees overseeing everything to more than 50 working on all different aspects of a now nationwide company.

"This is a fantastic achievement and means we can continue to help more customers with more jobs around their home than ever before" says Mat.
As well as expanding the network of tradespeople, we've also expanded the range of services we offer. When we first started, the Heroes could help customers with plumbing, drainage, heating and electrical jobs. Since October this year, we now also connect customers with handymen, painters and decorators, plasterers, tilers and locksmiths.
Next year will also be a big year for us as we look to launch new trades related to home repair and renovation. Watch this space!
