Click 'Join now' to register for a Toolbox account. Once in the Onboarding Center we’ll ask you to fill some general information about your company along with more specific details related to your trades.
Check out the specific qualifications and experience required for your trade.
Your public liability schedule or certificates
Your employers’ liability schedule or certificates (if you have employees)
Reviews of previous work showing your experience (web links are accepted)
Your DBS check (this isn’t essential)
Your proof of bank account (statement, letter or screenshot)

Absolutely not. As long as you’re dressed safely for the job, you’re good to go.
No, we don’t have any targets. You can use Local Heroes to simply fill spare slots in your diary, or to grow your business - it’s up to you. We simply connect you with customers who need jobs doing in their homes.
We take a fee for helping you find new jobs to help us:

Support you over the phone should anything go wrong with advice from our industry experts
Continually improve our platform to make it a better for Heroes and customers
Payments are automatically chased for up to 28 days- helping make sure you receive your money
Fees vary depending on the value of the job: We charge customers a 20% commission for jobs worth up to £499. For jobs worth £500 - £999 we charge customers a flat commission of £100. For jobs worth over £1000 we charge customers a flat commission of £150.
We use some clever tech to offer jobs to all Heroes in the area, and we factor in who has waited the longest.
We send you notifications by text and by email when a job is available in your area. Once you’ve picked the job, we send you the customer’s details so you can contact them to arrange it.
We’ve got a nifty app, Toolbox, where you can see which jobs you’ve completed and what you have booked in. You’ll be sent a link to download it when you join us.
We make sure Heroes are up to tip top standard, and as such have some requirements to become a Hero. Because of these, we do have to decline applications from time to time, but we should always be in touch to explain why.
