Not every business wins awards but as an innovative new service, Local Heroes has been nominated for several awards and we are very proud to say we have already stood out in several very competitive fields and been recognised by several industry bodies.

BOC Business Brilliance Awards
Best New Product Launch
The Business Brilliance Awards were set up by the BOC Global Events & Training Group to recognise those companies leading the way in customer service, financial performance, innovation and ethical practice.
Local Heroes was awarded the Best New Product launch for our standout results in gaining awareness for an entirely new service.
Head of Local Heroes Mat Moakes said "It was a lot of work to launch this new service and we're very proud to be recognised for our efforts"
Corporate Entrepreneur Awards
Best New Proposition
The Corporate Entrepreneur Awards was set up by Market Gravity to recognise innovation across seven separate industries. Nominations are voted for publicly before a panel of judges picks a winner on the night of the ceremony.
In the 2017 CEA Awards, Local Heroes was nominated in the category of Best New Proposition. Out of a field of almost 40 very strong competitors, Local Heroes finished third.
Centrica Technology & Engineering Service Awards
The Centrica Technology & Engineering Service Awards are part of Centrica Innovations, an initiative to established to “invest in new technology and ideas that will transform the way we live, work and move”.
“One of Centrica’s core principles is to foster cutting edge innovations in new and existing markets,” said Charles Cameron, a Centrica Senior Executive. “Local Heroes is one of our best examples of this commitment and we’re delighted to honour the team in charge of this amazing progress.”
Our award recognises the development of a Centrica internal innovation to a Minimal Viable Product (MVP) through to market in just two months.
Customer Engagement Award, Impact Award
The Peer Awards celebrates innovative customer engagement and is an inspirational award which allows finalists to review each other’s entries.
Local Heroes was originally shortlisted for its commitment to servicing customers’ continually changing needs in the home services market and for cultivating a culture of customer centricity internally.
However, due to the strength of the submission, Local Heroes received a second award in the Impact category.

UK Customer Experience Awards
Best new improved product or service
The UK Customer Experience Awards are the largest customer experience awards in the world. Now in its 9th year, the awards are dedicated to recognising companies with a strong focus and reputation for delivering the very best customer experiences.
Local Heroes has been nominated in the category of Best New Improved Product or Service alongside companies such as EE and HSBC. The awards ceremony will be held at Wembley Stadium in London on the 11th of October.
Utility Week Awards
Big Bang Award for Innovation
The Utility Week Awards were established in 2014 to recognise outstanding work in the UK utilities industry.
Focusing on innovation and team work, Utility Week aims to award those who go above and beyond to keep British homes warm and powered.
Local Heroes was nominated for the Big Bang Award for Innovation in the Customer-facing section.
The Awards Ceremony was held in Manchester on the 29th of June
