Where to find plumbing supplies
Do you need some plumbing supplies, but aren’t sure where to start? Well look no further than our guide here, where we’ve put together some suggestions to help you find the items you need for your plumbing products.
Go big
The most obvious first port of call should be big-name retailers found in most towns and cities - Wickes, Homebase, Bunnings etc. These stores are easy to find, and are generally well stocked with everything you could need, from pipes to power tools.
Go online
If you haven’t got one of those near you, though, then the Internet might be your best bet. There are lots of DIY specialists online, and often you can buy supplies from industry wholesalers at a lower price than you’d pay on the high street. Websites such as Travis Perkins for a good range of supplies at good prices.
You don’t have to go to a specialist website though. Online retailers increasingly sell nearly everything you can think of, so if you know exactly what it is you’re looking for, you can probably find it relatively quickly on there.
Go local
While they may not always have the most exhaustive range of stock, local hardware stores will always have a comprehensive range of most things you may need – and they will definitely be able to offer you expert advice.
They should also be able to order you in products if you ask them, making them a great choice if you have time to spare and questions that need answering. Plus you’ll be helping to support small, independent businesses.
Go next door
Finally you can always ask your neighbours and friends if they have the tools you need. You’ll be amazed at the things people pick up, and you might save yourself a lot of money if you only need the tool for a one off job.
